A trip to Amritsar – Golden Temple
There are some places in this world about which we keep hearing about since childhood. Stories of such places keep fascinating us while we grow up and they keep getting listed in our travel bucket list. Our stupid mind keeps dreaming about it and wakes up us realising that it is a mirage and you are back in your boring life . It hurts. It aches. One couldn’t forget about this list of ” I really want to visit ” places. It gives us the fire to fight through the monotonous robotic life we live everyday.
Since I came back from Jeddah in November,my heart was burning from a desire to roam somewhere, a place who can gives me happiness and trust me, I don’t think I ever felt such happiness till I saw this beautiful monument in front of me. I was spellbound by this magnificent building The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, Harmandir , also called Darbar Sahib ,the chief gurdwara, or house of worship, of Sikhism and the Sikhs’ most important pilgrimage site. Despite it beings the most important pilgrimage site of Sikh religion, it openly embraces people from all religions.
